Is it just me, or did they change the SG shape slightly in the 70's?

I feel like the 60's ones have slightly different proportions, or is it just the short neck joint, versus longer?

the bevels aren't as deep as the ones on sg's from the sixties.

Ha, that's funny. I was just wondering the same thing and remembered noticing the shape difference before too :)

the 70's SG had the trademark break at the headstock...i have played shows with a few bands who had almost the same SG...and they all seem to have the break in the headstock. After a trip to my luthier though, its in great playing condition. at some point i want to add a bigsby. i do think the 70's shape isn't quite as severe as some of the 60's versions...

The right horn looks smaller than the left one. Aren't the other SGs almost symmetrical in that area?

i am pretty sure its always a little bit smaller...it's not as noticeable when someone is playing, but when its displayed upright you can definitely tell a difference in size.
