...been interested in these for years now. Some say they are rare, but i see 4 or 5 of them on the eBay Kleinanzeigen (local ads) - i guess they're quite impossible to find on the other side of the pond, though.
AFAIK these are basically a 50Plus (which i already have) head in a combo, but with reverb... and the sliders instead of pots.
They came with the more sought-after Fane speakers or cheaper ones (Eminence?).
They were never a big hit, and all i know was that Supergrass recorded "Caught by the fuzz" with one. Impressive!
Anyway... I wasn't PLANNING on buying one of these right now... but - well - you know me...
They usually sell for 600-800 Euro here, so when i saw one on eBay with no initial bid and only 2 mins left, i thought "what the hell"... and won it, for 350.
Should be here in a day or two, stay tuned!
I guess my GF won't be amused - our apartment here isn't that big, but hey...
Stay tuned!

Re: Sound City Concord
my dad used one as a practice amp in the 90's. i always remember the sound of his bubble font sovtek muff and his peavey t40 through it. such a beefy sound. i've never heard one with guitar however.

Re: Sound City Concord
I think they're like the usual Selmer/Sound city/etc. amps from the early-mid 70s. Loud, powerful, clean, stupid heavy, pretty lame reverb, a character-free tone platform to build your sound on with pedals.
The ones I've seen have always been overpriced. These aren't worth the £5-600 some people are asking, more like the £250-350 they usually go for.

Nice! I nearly bought one of these ages ago for something like £150 as it didn't work, the slide pots ended up scaring me off but I wish I'd at least given it a go.

Nice score! The control section looks like it could've been sourced from the Soviet space program.
I saw one of these stateside but thought it was a bit sterile for my tastes, though I remember thinking it would make a nice keyboard amp.
