Who doesn't, right Haha.
I've mainly used bubble font Sovteks with mine and also a D*A*M big box Ram Head... they all work great with them. I like to run the sustain lower than I would with say a Fender Twin Reverb, and crank the volume a lot more. I generally use my Oranges for heavier stuff with downtuned guitars.
This isn’t some kind of metaphor

Head came back from Salderhaus! It is awesome! I even did a video of the controls and sounds. Here are pictures. The model number on the back calls it an OR120 not an OD120.

Re: New Orange Thing OR120! (Pg.3)
Been a long time and I finally learned a very important lesson. My cabinets had speakers I don't like. I have tried so many amps and pickups and never really found them to be what I was expecting or hoping for. I finally wised up and figured out it was probably the speaker cabinets I was playing through. I got a set of Celestion Greenbacks and put them in this cabinet and it is a game changer. My amps sound better and my guitars sound better. It is funny how much gear I have gone through to figure that out.
If I can make one impactful statement to people out there it would be try different speakers. If your amp doesn't sound as good as you want or your guitar doesn't sound as good as you like, try different speakers. Simple change and it makes all the difference in my experience. Here are pics.

Re: New Orange Thing OR120! (Pg.3)
I think we've all been there. Not sure if it's in a Book somewhere? But, in retrospect, it seems like the order should go something like this....
Starting with the least expensive thing to do then to the next least expensive thing to do & so on.
First do this & if it still don't sound great..
1. Dial in the Setup on your Guitar to perfection.
2. Dial in the Volume, Bass & Treble Settings on Amp & your Guitar & find the Sweet Spot..
3. Try high Quality Tubes other than the cheap junky ones that come with most Amps.
4. Try better Speaker in Amp.
What do you think? Feel free to add or modify....

Re: New Orange Thing OR120! (Pg.3)
Very solid list.
The speaker thing got me when I noticed different pickups and amps sounding the same and it made no sense. Why would pickups and different amps sound kind of the same? It was because the speakers I was playing through weren't great. Eyes opened!

Maybe there should be a separate Thread? Might be helpful...HNB wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 10:21 pmVery solid list.

I got lucky and found someone else who went through the same thing. I was looking for speaker information on these old ones I tended to use and someone talked about going through amp after amp until they realized the speakers were the issue, not the amps.

That is a very solid list.
Speakers can make the biggest difference on an amp, very make or break, and let you know if you like the amp or if you just need to change amps.
I’ve bought and swapped quite a few speakers with my amps, and it’s amazing how much difference it makes, even different speakers in the exact same amps. Even more than tubes, but that also makes a pretty big difference, especially against most stock tubes.
