I am kinda interested in getting rid of my Pro Jr. and getting one of these. I am not seeing any reviews, or much about it. Anyone know of anything?

Haven’t heard anything about them, but they seem very nice from the description. Never tried a VHT, but they’re used by a lot of people.

A little strange that they went with a single stage preamp, but if you’re not looking for a whole lot of breakup from the preamp itself, that’s fine.

You could use a 12AT7 in it, if you wanted it to be even more clean. I did that with my little Bugera amps that were kind of dirty with the AXs, and it was nice for using pedals. But I’ve since yanked them to use them with a couple of my Vox AC C1 amps, for a little smoother breakup.

It's a boost booster, to boost your boost - it makes your tone much muchier.
