The FB CUSTOM
I built it for a pal luthier (as a gift) who did the woodwork and finish on my 2 Dano Fake Lefties projects I surely pictured in details somewhere on OSG :
Specs :
- 10" speaker.
- 10-12W RMS expected.
- Switchable spring reverb.
- switchable booster.
- It's a compact mix between a Fender and a VOX.
The cab is ready since 2017 - yes, I'm late and slow...
But now the building is on and progressing quite quickly : I see the end on the horizon...
Wait and See...

Super classy as always lhwarp! I love the styling. I'd love to hear some clips of this. Your description of it being a bit between Fender and Vox is really intriguing.

The building is finished, but...
In need of debugging; as usual ! So the sound samples will have to wait...
The power output reaches 10W RMS clean tone @400hz sinus, onset of clipping, 8R resistive load.
Some pics of the finished amp :
Shielding and acoustic isolation of the reverb tank :

End of the story !
The amp is finished and operational as expected... After some usual debuggings !
Size comparison vs. a Princeton Reverb :
The FB CUSTOM is quite a lightweight amp with a mere
11.6kg including mains cord and booster footswitch...
Here are some quick and short samples
to have an idea of the tone :

A bit smaller than a Princeton, lightweight, amazing looking and sounding incredible! Damn dude. That's just amazing! I really want to build an amp one of these days. You're definitely inspiring me here

Thank you Guys !
If you want to build an amp, it's much more easy today than 20 years ago : zillions parts are available, and most of all - there's a bunch of real good amp kits offered also - If you never built an amp, it's the way I strongly suggest you to start, way less risky than starting from scratch like me !
I guess that my luthier pal for which I built this amp will be pleased...
Incidentally, he just finished a cool Custom Lefty Offset guitar for me
:
And the next amp to finish is the FB CUSTOM's GrandBrother : the Serial Tone Killer...
