Marshall Vintage Modern 2466
Anyone on the forum have any experience with these heads? There’s one on my local CL from a reliable seller and I’m thinking about trying to get it. I’ve had over the years a JCM800 and a DSL100, never owned a Plexi. I really liked both of the other Marshall’s I’ve owned. I found some info seeming to suggest this one is pretty decent. Any input appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things, fwiw. I feel like Marshalls are underrated these days and people don't really go in for 'em, so I say go for it if it's a good deal.tune_link wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 9:01 pmAnyone on the forum have any experience with these heads? An old bandmate of mine had one of these years ago. I don’t remember a whole lot about it other Than it sounding pretty good. I’m not certain it was the same exact model though. It was a head with two channels and a shared eq I think. Definitely a vintage modern. He bought it from another touring band who were doing 300 shows a year. It never gave us any problems.

Thanks for the input y'all. I decided last minute to back out of the deal as I was about to trade a Jag I really like for it and I think if I'm going to do it I might rather just see if I can get another JCM800 instead. The thing that kept bugging me in the back of my mind is people sort of offhandedly remarking that it doesn't sound as loud as other Marshalls or something strange like that. I don't know if this is true or not but volume is absolutely a factor for me.
