@hulakatt , you're as much a Bassman fan as anyone I've seen, so I trust your guidance!

I'm such a babe in the woods when it comes to speakers - I'm surprisingly un-picky. Those Reeves Purples look pretty dope.

Years ago, a tech put a quad of MOD 10-50s in my B10, so I was thinking a couple of affordable MOD 12-110s would get me in that ballpark with another closed-back without breaking the bank.

Lol, I really don't wanna become a "speaker guy/gal" but I may have to do a little more investigation....

I find the Bassman amps really shine with:
A.) a closed back cab and
B.) british speakers (take your pick)

I tend to prefer greenbacks or golds but I've heard good things about the Purples and I have a quad here, I just haven't loaded them yet, still working on the cab. They do, however, have a tremendous wattage handling capacity in the vein of the old Fanes.
