Yep, that's the way I would do it. Are you going to solder the speaker wires to a plug so that you can just plug them into the jack on the amp?

yeah, hopefuly I'll be able to do that...mind you, I might just take it to a tech...it's just that the tech is miles away from my place...getting the amp down there will be a total pain!

I actually like soldering. It took me a couple years to get good at it, but now I don't hesitate to tear into anything at all  A good ireon makes a big difference though, which I sadly still don't have
