Btw, All of these amps come with Celestions.
Did you get a chance to try the 18/30? That's pretty close to a dream amp for me.

Definitely interested in the 45watt head. I'm a huge fan of the EL34 clean sound, so I wonder how clean these will stay? (I know that's not the selling point but...)

I've always wondered why Fender didn't branch out from 6L6/6V6 more often.

Was really hoping that these were going to be bass amps from the name...

These seem exciting. I wish they looked cooler. I wonder about the cleans.

You can get plenty of clean from it. I didn't try the 18/30 because they didn't have one there... just the 45w and 7w.

Nice. Will definitely keep an eye out in the next few months.

Looks like the 45 watt head/cab and combo are available at GC now.

I'll be at least giving the 45w head a run-thru. The marketing copy on the linked site says it has both El34 and EL84 power tubes, so that's a little concerning. Hoping the EL84 info is bastardized from the 18/30 combo.

The other nice thing here is that they're offering pretty affordable extension cabs as well. $250 for the 1x12, $100 more for the 2x12?

I played the 7w combo briefly at Guitar Center in Houston last week. It is a very quiet 7w. Would be a great for home recording and practice. I think I'd prefer the head because that little combo did not sound all that great. In fact, it really sounded really grainy and fuzzy and had zero cleans with the Squier Mascis we both played into it. I'm guessing it's the speaker (a Celestion 10 30) that sucks so bad.

It's made for home but the line out works great. You have to hear it in a small and quiet environment, the opposite of GC It's single-ended and I think 7w is pushing it... it's more like 4-5w to my ears. It's very British sounding, IMO. It's got a midrange snarl to it that you might not like. I played a Les Paul, a Jaguar and a Tele through it. I thought it was great. The head version will definitely be more flexible but for those who want the 1x10, the line out will provide some great options.

I think this is a good demo of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZMdBRDvSHk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Been listening to demos of these amps on YouTube. From those demos they seem very promising. The only thing in question for me would be their reliability. I know the hotrod series had good cleans, but their questionable reliability always kept me away. I would hope these are different.

The name is gonna cause some confusion in the marketplace. I know most of us here can decipher it but man, there are a lot of dumb people out there that will surely think these are bass amps! I could get down with the idea of them but I am not much a low wattage amp guy. Interesting turn for Fender. In the past they seemed to only want to do their typical amps and then have an occasional stab at a "metal" amp. Kind of surprised they are made in Mexico, thought they would surely be China. Not sure that makes a difference in reliability though. I wish Fender would commit to more USA made amps truthfully. Even their amps that are supposedly made in USA don't have enough domestic content to put the made in USA label on it anymore. In the near future all fender amps will be Asian or made in Mexico. They don't have Peavey keeping them honest in the American manufacturing game anymore.

I want the 45 W head for my PSVI...I use Tube Guitar amps almost exclusively for bass.

Can the speaker handle it?

I have never had an issue with any of mine. I use a combination of bass and guitar speakers and haven't had any issues. maybe luck, but I also use far more power handling than amp output - 320 Watts or so of power handling from speakers connected to a 50 watt amp.
