Thorpy FX

Anyone got any experience with Thorpy FX pedals especially the Chain Home? Looks (and sounds) a pretty decent tremolo pedal from what I’ve heard on YouTube..

I’m sure they sound great, but I can’t get on board with the aesthetic at all, from the daft shape to the need to name almost every pedal after something to do with the army or whatever.

I think the owner was in the army or something :D

They’re pretty industrial looking I agree - if I could find one, the Acid Fuzz Sonic Boom is a beaut..

Yeah i he was in the army, as you say, hence the pedal naming system.

Too pricey for me.

Every thorpy pedal I've played sounds great. I have a muffroom cloud, it's and awesome muff with great tone section.

They look kind of like some of the Pettyjohn pedals.

I’ve not played any of their pedals, but I’m pretty excited that they are putting out some of the old Lovetone pedals. The original Lovetone designer is on board, and helping to redesign them. So far I think they released a revised Big cheese, and a flanger.

I have the Camoflange and it is pretty great, don't feel like I'll ever need a flanger again. The blend and treble mix controls are strokes of genius IMO.
