It’s not cool or trendy, but DMM nano will probably do exactly what you need, all in a pedalboard friendly, 9V box. Just need to watch a few videos on how to dial in the classic sounds as the controls work slightly differently
Respectfully disagree. I've tried them all and nothing is the same, no matter what settings. It's one of the few occasions in this industry where the hype is real and there really is no substitute unless you find all NOS components and build a 1:1 clone.
There's reason why those of us with them don't often let them go.
I don’t doubt your ears. The nano captures the essence, not the magic. You won’t fall in love with it, sure. I still use mine for utilitarian reasons.
I tested my two with the same settings in
this video, and convinced me it’s ‘good enough’ vs a separate power supply & the space of 3 pedals (in the fantasy world where I’m still gigging with two bands
).
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Oh, for live use even an analog delay is pointless. Just use a DD-3/5/6/7/9 ...you won't hear the difference in a mix and the crowd don't care.
At home is different. Much more critical listening going on there
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Who am I kidding. Live sound: as long as it doesn’t sound like a howling banshee*, beyond you & the bedroom guitarist from the other band you’re trying to avoid, no one else will notice, or even care
*post-punk bands not included

I would ask if you're drummer is a Bonham fan but it seems a bit silly. I suppose you're aware of how obscenely loud those Vistalite kits are now? Damn, I miss mine
With Paiste's too, damn.

i was gonna say vistalites with 2002's are always a fucking beatdown. our old drummer had this joke that he was always having to play harder to keep up with us, got a cheap jellybean vistalite kit and pulled out his set of 2002's. it was the one time we actually had to be like "oh, maybe play lighter than normal?"
saying that, i kinda wanna hear a set of vistalites with the minel classic custom darks. those are really fucking loud cymbals. the bell on the 22" crash ride haunts my fucking dreams.
offset guitars resident bass player.

PARDON?? Yep, crazy loud! He's already a really loud drummer, so this really helps with that
it does sound rad though, I made him play When The Levee Breaks straight away.

Sorry
you'll always have first dibs if I ever need/want to move it on. Until then, at least you know it's loved and in good hands. It sounds awesome through the Jensen C12K speakers in the Twin Reverb. I might try and find a second hand set to drop in the cab at home. Using it with the Twin as a cab works great for gigs as I always have a backup amp and it looks awesome.

I gigged a Pat Wilson Special (snare, bass and keg tom with ride, hats and 2 crashes up high) Jellybean Vistlite kit for a little while and it was a blast. Loud, articulate as hell and fun.

I like those little wooden rack you got those amps up on! I might have to look into a few of those myself.

Thanks. I´m sure they are Ikea or something similar. I believe they are called "shoe shelves" around these parts. Repurposed as changes were made in the household.

Just got a new speaker for the 5F2 Princeton that I built a couple years ago. Nothing expensive, just a Jensen C10R but it sounds great! Much better than the trashed P10R that I had in there. The pedal is a germanium Fuzz Face that I built today. I made the output cap switchable between 0.1 and 0.01uF. I added an external bias control on the second transistor also. I put a Wolfetone Meaner 90 in the Junior recently along with new pots and a 0.022uF Jupiter Bumblebee cap. Sometimes pure simplicity is best.
This isn’t some kind of metaphor
Goddamn this is real

That little amp seems to
the hot-ish P90. PAFs too. And the Duncan ‘56s in my Telecaster.. I have yet to find anything that
doesn’t sound great through it!
