this thing.
I imagine an effects box wouldn't be any better than the Sitar Swami.
I want Danelectro to make it to hear how bad it can be, call it the "Banjo Rube"

Re: A challenge to all you pedalbuilders
that sounds pretty good.
Also the moog guitar could somehow do this electronically with the pickups, like a fernandez sustainer in reverse.

Yes, the guitar-jo sounds ok. But would love the simplicity of a pedal

What using a combination of a Jaguar mute (some kind of mute) and a compressor set to very heavy compression?Trout wrote:Yes, the guitar-jo sounds ok. But would love the simplicity of a pedal

Re: A challenge to all you pedalbuilders
I don't know I'm just thinking out loud that a banjo sound is kind of choked like a sitar (semi-muted), and more stacatto like a Jaguar, and maybe a compressor might make it more so. Worth a shot anywho...

Only if the compressor would allow you to precisely set time constants attack and release! Slow attack, fast releaseShadoweclipse13 wrote:I don't know I'm just thinking out loud that a banjo sound is kind of choked like a sitar (semi-muted), and more stacatto like a Jaguar, and maybe a compressor might make it more so.
