Crybaby in a Box?

Has anyone ever taken the guts out of a wahwah and put it in a pedal box? I'm thinking about making a one knob QZone. I guess I could add another knob but I'm not sure what my options are. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Haven‘t done this - but basically shouldn‘t be much of a problem. You may exchange the long shaft wah potentiometer for a regular one with the same resistance values...but otherwise I don‘t see a problem.

I would like to go in the exact opposite direction and pack guts from any good vibe pedal (or a diy kit) into a wha enclosure in order to control the speed with my foot. Just can‘t argue myself to spend 40-70€ for either a plastic enclosure or a working crybaby to gut out... what do you plan to do with your enclosure after you are done?

I think what you're describing is a "cocked wah" sound. ? There's pedals that do that, anyway—as an additional feature, or as the only feature.

I'm allergic to wahs though, so idk.
