A little help with a power supply!

Post by CLETUStheFETUS » Wed Jul 02, 2008 9:42 am

Dammit.
I have lost my adapters/electro-shock/power generator. Among its exhaustive list of casualties is my beloved Holy Grail's 9v 500ma power adapter. I thought these puppies would be easy to come by, but after searching fruitlessly for thirty minutes, I slammed into the conclusion that i should turn the matter over to the authorites, the higher minded intellects, to the people who know best, you guys. Any idea or tips on where to find this clandestine mystical power supply?

I found the EU version in seventeen seconds...

Wouldn't be that hard to search for the same on MF, or?

???  ;)

edit: Didn't think so...

Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

I don't think that is the right adaper.  Holy Grail's have a 1/8" inch power jack, the one linked is larger.

I think it's a stock photo on MF's site (they have Jazzmaster cases in the pics for mustang cases for example) - the EU version on Thomann have the mini stereo plug.

Wouldn't you be able to use a 1 Spot with the mini-jack adapter cable (pos. tip)?

The one on Thomann looks like a regular 1/8" mini-jack, mono, hard to tell the polarity though.

As mentioned in a different thread you could by a 1-Spot, Diago or GodLyke power-all that has all the necessary adapters.

I purposely got the Godlyke cos I too have a Holy Grail that has a different mini-jack to all the others. $24 + postage.

If you already have other adapters then sell them on the bay & the money you make can go towards an all-in-one unit. They strike me as a great idea.
