Re: Setup of the day
Today's setup for Sunday afternoon jams/practice w/ the bass player and drummer down at the shop today:
Guitars
Guild Aristocrat M75 & Roberto (the most recently completed build) >
Board
PolyTune 2 > XenoGama Tail Loop 2 [ loop 1 (Mystery Brain) > loop 2 ( Vintage Rat > Modele B ) > loop 3 (Gravitas > Meet Maude { Supermoon } > Boing)] > Buffered Splitter >
Amp
Morgan AC20
It was my first chance to play most of this stuff w/ a full 3 piece and I dunno if I could be happier w/ the sounds they were making, I think I'm in love!

Re: Setup of the day
I just got my first pedal board, a Novo 24. I thought it would be too big for my usual setup but my friend said go for it. So here I have my usual crappy old stuff plus five more things I might use more if they were plugged in, but now I don't have room for all of my other crappy old stuff I never use. Suddenly "Making room on my board" is a thing in my brain. That's fun. That home brew is a kind of Plimsoul and the Danny is the Cool Cat V1 which I like enough to hopefully one day replace with a real Timmy.

Re: Setup of the day
Keep forgetting to get pictures. Haha. Testing out the Disaster Transport Sr. that I got a few weeks ago for the bass rig. Sounds groovy! Since I started experimenting with different sounds on pedals for the bass rig (different to what I'd normally set things for guitar), I've discovered that I REALLY like the sound of the SS/BS Mini with the treble all the way up at almost any gain setting. Really cool, and almost synth-y.
Tele > EQD The Warden > SS/BS Mini > Dunlop mini volume > EQD Disaster Transport Sr. > Laney Cub 12R

Re: Setup of the day
I was looking at the pedals this morning, after playing for a little bit, and thought "Jason, make sure to take a picture before packing it all away" and I forgot again. Damn you brain! Haha.
I got a couple new pedals this week, so I wanted to try them out to make sure they work mostly. Still testing out the bass rig, but won't be putting the bass tuners on until this weekend. Signal: Tele > EQD The Warden > Foxrox Octron 3 > SS/BS Mini > Malekko Sneak Attack > EQD Night Wire > EQD Disaster Transport Sr. > Tech 21 Q\Strip
It sounded really good. I'm still not totally sure about the Disaster Transport Sr. I had the Jr. and loved the tone, and I LOVE having 2 delays and reverb on a single pedal, but the modulation is too intense. A few months back, I picked up an EQD Space Spiral, which I believe is like the grand-kid of the DT Sr., and the modulation is tuned perfectly. That said, maybe I just won't use the modulation, and it'll still be a great delay/reverb with bass. I prefer analog delays, so the Dispatch Master is out for a combo if I decide to replace it. Still have to mess with it a bit more.
As for the new pedals, the Malekko Sneak Attack and the Foxrox Octron 3, they are both awesome!
The Octron is the coolest octave pedal I've messed with, and tracks ridiculously well. In the last 6 months I've had the T-Rex Quint, 3 Leaf Octabvre Mini, and the Octron 3. The Quint was cool, but just didn't do it for me, and the Octavbre Mini didn't track well and sounded just ok.
The Sneak Attack will take some time to get used to, but is really neat. After watching the Fun With Tremolos video from PedalsAndEffects, where Juan used an old EHX Microsynth to get an envelope swell, then put that into the EQD Night Wire (along with others), I was hooked on that sound. The Sneak Attack definitely isn't a pedal that you can pick up and master in a few minutes. It's gonna take awhile to get used to, but it sounds cool as hell. Definitely think I'm gonna need to pick up the Lil' Buddy accessory for it though.

Re: Setup of the day
Went old school the other day with my newly built Piledriver boost and the ugly Whirlwind tuner I bought at GC for $10.

I kinda like it. A tuner shouldn't be sexy in my book, but look like a middle-aged accountant from an 80's movie
