Two tiny practice amps, big big sound. Like a couple of cranked stacks somehow, without the massive amount of space taken up, although there is a stack in the place I never use (Plexi clone with weird Carlsbro 2x12" cab which is stacked like a 4x12")

Image
The trick with the Cool Cat there to get more stereo expansion is minimal speed, not too much depth so it doesn't start to flange. Both those little transistor amps have different responses to touch and pick attack so it's fun.

The infamous full band rehearsal/gig rig. Guitar on the left (nice simple multi) and organ sim on the right (all them singles).

Image
This thing has seen me through literally hundreds of gigs over the years. Amp footswitch is connected to it, not the actual amps.

The organ sim rig. It's lucky it sounds so good otherwise I'd keep all these pedals at home and use them for other things.

Image
I like turning them on their side for more of a stack look. Note the dbx preamp; fun story about how I got that, for another time maybe.

That picture is sexy af. I own two of those Dano pedals (Daddy-O gets gigged but may well end up being a home use thing and I'll swap in the RAT clone on the organ board, Cool Cat is home use only at the moment) and would happily own the third.

this last week I totally dismantled my board and rebuilt it for a wet/dry 2-amp setup. Finally finished it and it all sounds glorious....

Image
The matching guitars, the chair (the CHAIR!), the rug, all of that and you skimp on the cab for the marshall? They weight too much, need a 4x12 to hold them up...

BTW, I love the chair, did I mention? And the rug really ties the room together.

Ha! I love the cab. 2x12 greenbacks, bluesbreaker style. Albeit closed back.

I have the same chair in the living room here. It's super comfy but mines old as hell and falling apart a bit. Also, the footstool is perpetually covered in stuff like a little dumping ground :fp:

I wish I had room in the guitar room for something like it. But I just have a little stool I sit and play on

I also have a Hello Kitty Squier. So that balances things out :D

What's the amp on top? jtm45? 1987?

I have a hand wired (Valvestorm) jtm45 but I run mine through an old, stripped 1960a with a quad of Scumback Greenbacks and it's just the perfect volume. It's really not any louder then when I ran it through 2x12's with Greenbacks but it sounds way bigger if that makes any sense.

It’s a JTM45. I have no interest in lugging a 4x12 down three flights of stairs every time we gig!

Amen, I got tired of lugging those f**kers around and I just don't any more; it's overkill for a lot of gigs anyway because PA tech has come on so much, and mic'ing up a guitar amp to keep the stage volume reasonable is usually what happens.

All I miss about 4x12" cabs is the low end thump when palm muting with heavy gain, and that really isn't worth dealing with the size of the thing.

Also it’s worth adding that the fact I’m now using two amps adds to the “bigness” anyway. I think a 4x12 on the jtm would totally overpower the deluxe
