Re: your effects setup?
Hi there,
I play exclusively in the home-studio nowadays
Previous pedaltrain became too small as 5 or 6 pedals were added.

Yes, he would have! ...except for the fact that he didn't get any royalties on this one .i love sharin foo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 3:00 pmBeautiful Rickenbacker!! I think Tom Petty would've approved
It's a 2006 that spent 13 years in Singapore before I bought and received it here in Belgium last april. Because the weather is so humid in Asia, I've had to fine tune the truss rod every 3 weeks since then. Now the action is stable and just as low as on my fender 6 string offsets.

Very nice setup, I like that Ric.
How do you like that Nova Delay? I have the mod & reverb models, which are nice but kind of sterile, and I was wondering how the delay was.
I've also heard great things about the Broadcast. I have the Colourbox, not sure how similar it is to the Broadcast, but I love it.

How do you like your Ditto X4? I've got an X2 and love it, but keep reading about all these issues with the X4...

Re: your effects setup?
I've had the nova delay on my board for 9 nine years (!!!) and use it mainly when I play in stereo. Also, being able to dial the bpm is great for syncing with cubase for recording. Of course, it doesn't sound quite as analog as the bbd delays like the DMM and the just arrived MF-104M but it is, to me, a good-sounding, useful delay.somanytoys wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:16 amVery nice setup, I like that Ric.

I have recently tested both bbd delays in mono (DMM on chorus mode into the MF-104 into a bassman), with the Moog midi-synced with cubase and it works and sounds great to me. I haven't tried stereo yet with those 2 as both vibrochamps (I use those for stereo) are being fixed at the tech's.
Perhaps after I try stereo with those 2, I'll be tempted to finally let go of the nova and free space on the board for further sound experimentation.
Very happy with the Broadcast. It's on very often. It's got such a present, headroomy sound. I've just found out about the Colour Box... Ahh Neve preamps...

Re: your effects setup?
To be honest, I haven't tried it yet. So far, it has been midi synced to cubase and the led lights up in sync. So far, so good.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 11:16 pmHow do you like your Ditto X4? I've got an X2 and love it, but keep reading about all these issues with the X4...
I want to try it fully at once and that means in stereo as well, but my 2 amps are being fixed right now.
I have also read bad stories about the X4, mostly about the sync issues after a few loops.
I decided to give it a try anyway as the X4 ticked all my boxes.
The contender would have been the Boomerang III but it's quite a different budget.
I'll get back to you once I have tried the X4.

Re: your effects setup?
Completely agree. I love my X2, but the X4 can do so much cool stuff. I might use the MIDI sync for synth stuff, but I mostly just want one for the 2 separate loops. Boomerang is solid, but definitely not cheap for sure. Let me know what you think when you start playing with it more.

My practice rig as of late. It consists of a 1965 Champ and a Strymon Flint borrowed from a friend. I might have to buy it from him!!

Thanks y'all. The Flint really sets the amp up a few notches. I'm mostly a C&W and swing player and still struggle without reverb I need that confidence verb!!

Re: your effects setup?
For years I have been stacking overdrives, never satisfied. Finally I discovered the joy of the boost pedal and now I have what I have always wanted. With this setup I can get my 80s on, as well as my punk, post rock, classic rock, krautrock, ambient, etc...

Re: your effects setup?
My current board is this:
I play bass with my Bass VI at the moment, and I want my board to work interchangeably with the Bass VI and my guitars. I am overall quite happy but I am missing something that sounds "crazy". Off the board I have a Blue Box, but there's no point in adding that for bass.
I'm thinking of the EHX Freeze, or the CBA Condor, though they would be very different alternatives and am not sure yet.
