Oh yeah!!!! Nice all-Boss board Jonas!!
Thanks! I've had an all-Boss board for many years (with varying pedals), but I had the NUX Tape Core on there for the past year or so, and things just haven't felt quite right. It's really nice to be back on track. 8)
It's a good look, all being Boss instead of one random non-Boss on there :) Does the chorus being between the fuzz and overdrive sound funky? I've never tried that, but I've only had my chorus for a short while. I usually have my phaser before my drives (closer to the guitar), and it gives an almost-wah-like kind of sound.

I use the chorus into the overdrive for a kinda rotary speaker effect, it rounds off the high end and makes it sound a lot less like the 80s. And running the fuzz into the chorus with the overdrive off does the exact opposite, it gets really metallic and harsh sounding, almost like Steve Albini’s Big Black sound. And with all 3 on it’s somewhere in the middle.

Ooh, that sounds interesting. I may have to try that to see if it's a sound I'd like...

Very happy with this setup. I mean, I’d love to try an MC6pro and if I could squeeze a Blooper on I’d be delighted but I’ve run out of juice underneath and can’t face a rebuild at the moment because it’s all sounding so glorious as is.

this is my rig right now, waiting on some velcro to make it stay in one place.

caline blue ocean (analog delay) > boss dd6 (digital delay) > joyo tremolo > caline ultra chorus > joyo american sound #1 (clean-ish / edge of breakup) > looper > joyo american sound #2 (fuzz)

presently the looper is between the two joyo's because i need to crustify some loops on their way into my 8 track, but it has historically been at the end of the chain.

next on the list is phaser, flanger, and reverb. looking at the moen am-ph phaser, caline so what flanger & caline old school reverb. i love cheap pedals.

edit: and for the hell of it, here's the rest of the bedroom rig:

Image

eko new rhythm box> rack analog delay unit (mij 70s) > either the tascam dp008, panasonic rq-2102 (cassette), or the other panasonic rq-2102 that infinitely layers on itself because someone ripped out the erase head

i also have a peavey audition audition 20 and rage 158 in here that i can either use to record in the room or use the audition as a preamp on whatever.

I just had 10 EBS flats arrived, allowing me to complete my pedalboard:

Image

The white switcher goes between the KTR and the DIY fuzz, and the small black loop switch is for the screen violence. Theoretically I shouldn’t have to go past the second rung back while playing. It definitely needs some Velcro underneath to tidy up the cables but that’s a future me problem.

Edit: the fuzz (DIY pedal next to analogman comp) was being really noisy so I’ve swapped in my Fredric Effects Super Unpleasant Companion, which just barely fits. I also changed the layout after seeing how some things interacted the way it was, and thinking more on the sounds I’m likely to be switching between mid song. I’d like to swap where the SHO and white looper are but the cables to the Bleach aren’t long enough.

My boards are reaching critical mass. I’ve been having too much fun to pare down though. I’ve been using everything on there a bunch. Never before have I been so happy with what I have.

The more I see Justin's boards the more I want to go to a dual pedalboard layout.

It never ends! :D

It makes things so much easier for me. I can angle them both so the reach is less. Also, by having more horizontal versus vertical real estate, I don’t have to reach as far back either. On top of all that, I think it looks better. The two feel a lot easier to physically fit into a space than one bigger one, too.

100% agree!! :)

I still have the Temple board Duo 17, so I could in theory use it alongside my larger Temple board....it's just that it is a slippery slope with filling the Duo 17 with pedals! :D

At this point, I try to no longer sell gear. I’m tired of rebuying the same things over and over :D As a result, there’s quite a surplus around these parts. It does keep things interesting.

Oh god, yes...there's a handful of pedals that I have bought and sold at least three times, some as high as five times :wtf: :fp: ...and they get more expensive each time I re-buy them! No more of that!! :D
