Ibanez Echo Shifter?

Went into the shop today for strings and this thing jumped out at me; the Ibanez Echo Shifter. Anyone tried one of these? Don't need another delay but this thing looks really cool. It's kind of got a Moog/ something from the dashboard of a spacecraft styling. Hopefully it sounds as good as it looks.

Yeah this looks interesting.
Claims to be 95% analog, has tap-tempo and modulation.
'Shifter' makes me think there will be a weird octave effect.

I heard about this a couple of weeks back. So that's what it looks like.

While I love the old-school design I can't see much about it that sets it apart from all the other delays out there.
The DMB Lunar Echo & Strymon El Capistan still hold the top 2 spots for me.

How about the price? At £109 it's more than half the cost of the Strymon El Capistan.

That's the one thing I hadn't checked.

Greast price, for sure. I'm hoping for some YouTube clips to surface shortly....EDIT - I missed this one!! - pity it's a bit wanky.
Delay though. It's one of those things that I love to mess around with but can never quite see it fitting into a workable song, outside of some psychedelic noise/soundscape type thing. I've already got 2 delay pedals. Why do I keep wanting more??!!

Is £109 a conversion from US dollars or are they being sold at that price in the UK?

I can see these selling for closer to £150, once they decide who their European stockist are. Then tack postage on top of that.
I've not done much snooping around online for these so apologies if I'm a little out of the loop.

I think I saw one for 155 euros so you're probably right.
Still... pretty good price for an analog delay with tap-tempo

Edit I was wrong vvvvv

Fantastic!

Now we just need to wait & see what it actually does.

looks cool, price is about right.

and it`s about time Ibanez put out some neat delay again.

which there was more delay time.

here`s a demos video:

The slider seems kind cool, I had a danelectro tape echo before and liked that it had a slider to control the time.

That was my first thought.

Another guy on here just got hold of one of those Reel Echo pedals & is having a lot of fun with it.
I was close to getting one too but, since this has come out, I'll wait.

I wasn`t so impressed with it to be honest.

The slider is fun, and you can do sound-on-sound, crazy oscilation that might blow up your speakers.

I liked the sound of the DD2o- and echopark a lot more. I ended up using the Dano just to make noise...which is fun too.
