New project - review welcome!

hi,

we've just finished the first song of our new project! Been working for quite a while on that and like to get some feedbacks it's not the definitive version: it's a premix version before final mix and mastering. A lot of others tracks are waiting to get mixed but it's the first one!

It's a lot more commercial that what I used to do but after years in post rock and indie music, we wanted something' more "people friendly".

I really liked the intro but I'm not massive fan of the vocals (that's just my personal preference)

The music sounded alright though - slightly MGMTish (Which I LOVE)

The overall recording is pretty good to my broken ears.

If the vocal was tripper/goofier and the lyric more of questioning ones day to day bleakness I think I'd love it!

That's just me though and my taste - I don't think this was helpful but I just wanted to give you my thoughts from my desk in this stupid office

Not bad at all, but the voice is buried and the lead cuts too much through the mix Needs a bit of remastering, in my humble, amateurish opinion.

there's no mastering done, only a pre-mix (ok, a serious pre-mix, not just couple of hours...). within the next two weeks, there will be the final mix and the mastering. That's why I really appreciate your comments
