Album of The Year List?

I really enjoy doing these and love seeing what new releases others have been enjoying all year. There's been a lot of great records released this year, so it's pretty easy to pull up 10 of your faves.

In No particular order, except maybe the top 3, my favourite records this year have been:

Fightstar- Behind The Devils Back
Jeff Rosenstock- We Cool?
Donovan Wolfington- How To Treat The Ones You Love
Beach Slang- The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us
Joanna Gruesome- Peanut Butter
Bin Men- Year Of The Bucket
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes- Blossom
Bully- Feels Like

All are within the "punk" scene, except Kendrick and Bin Men, so I'm probably going to try and branch out more next year. I don't think you really realise how homogenous your music taste is until you compile lists like this.

i thought the Alvvays album was really good.

Beach Slang- The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us

Absolutely love these guys. The only thing keeping em off my list is that after two EPs and an album of their very single-minded aesthetic and almost over-the-top-sincerity ... there's just doesn't seem to me to be whole lot of depth left there to mine, ya know?

Props on Kendrick, too. Really such an obviously Great record. Dude's a genius.

Personally, I'm not in the list mood this year - I liked quite a few albums which are really different, so I have no idea how to range them, and there are always some EPs as well.

I'm the same, too much really, lot's of 12's too and I'm not very listy. Mrs S and all four Shadowplay kids have made lists and the kids have made year playlists but I'm not very good at (or bothered about) narrowing things down.

I always enjoy the Boomkat end of years and I plan to have a look at them in the next day or two. I'm sure I'll find a few things I missed.
