Versus is back (again)!

Such a transcendent show. Really great sounds, sound, and energy. Oh, and great songs, too. I'd have liked some 2 cents + tax, too, but have zero complaints.

(I was the guy hobbling around -- still -- on crutches / by the side of the stage. Stupid non-forgiving cement in skateparks...).

Such dialed guitar and bass sounds.

Jimmy is a total gear nerd. Richard is too, though I think he's a little less obsessive about it. They've used some of the same gear for ages, so it's pretty dialed in now.

James was using a lot of new(er) stuff, incl. Chase Bliss and stuff I don't know by sight (but still with the good ol' Ibanez ad-80). Sounded phenomenal and great to see a boss switcher used to good effect.

Yes, excellent show! B9 was probably my favorite, although the new song Mummified was excellent also. And the impromptu Double Suicide was thumbs up.

Mummified, Invisible Love, and Into Blue were the highlights for me.

I got a little bit of a look at Richard’s board. He had a Keeley compressor and what looked like a 30ms, a few Fairfield boxes(?), and maybe an EP booster. Both guitars sounded huge without getting in each other’s way.

Also, how awesome is Fontaine? Very awesome.
