Schlegelmilch (organ), in addition to having one of the most fun names to say when drunk, plays things that absolutely blow my mind. Jonathan, the guitarist, does the offset crowd proud I'd say, but I have a conflict of interest since he's my guitar teacher. He's played for/with Nels Cline, Marc Ribot, Mary Halvorson (she was the one who suggested I take lessons from him). And Jim Black is a fucking legend and deserves it.

Criminally underrated. I saw them peel the paint off the walls of the Sultan Room, which may be my new favorite venue of all time.
