I'm really glad these two are around and getting recognized. There's a lot of good country around outside of the mainstream.

Observation from a casual listener: I was a bit disappointed with his ACM performance of his song "Second One To Know". I understand he comes by his Southern Rock roots naturally, but I didn't like it and turned the channel. I reserve the right to change my mind later.

so here's how i feel about his newest effort:
overall i think it's fantastic. short, but to the point. Either Way and Death Row are my top favorites. I Was Wrong has some killer guitar tone, and i really like the arrangement of Without Your Love.
I am not a fan of pot songs, so Them Stems isn't a favorite of mine. good blues shuffle though.

That is an understatement. I'm still wiping tears from that video, too.

As much as I've heard this song I've never watched the video. Such a true story for many and it puts things into perspective about how sensitive life can be.
Here are two gems before he exploded onto the scene. These are two of his most appreciated songs by people from his neck of the woods
"Where Rainbows Never Die" - Steel Drivers

"What are you Listening To?" - Chris Stapleton

i agree fully! both of those tunes that you posted are great too. he's fantastic. also a fan of this one. nothing like a good half-time groove and some heartbreak related lyrics to get me interested
