Hello
Thought I should join here since I'm waiting on a vintage Mustang which is probably gonna need some work.
I've been reading up on stangs and kept landing here, lots of very knowledgeable people here
I'll no doubt need some assistance once it arrives.
My electric guitar history is pretty boring, honestly.
Had some crappy 90s plywood strat copies early on.
Then I had a 1973 strat on loan from a friend for a long time (which I should have bought ).
Then later on in '06 I bought a MIM Classic 70s strat to try and relive some of the magic of the 1973 strat, and that's what I have now (it's not that magical, though).
See a pattern?
No offsets. Ever. (Oh wait, unless a Squier Jazz bass counts)
Time to fix that.
I had initially explored buying a neck and body and assembling my own Stang-a-like to my specifications. (Might still do that)
I also looked into importing a japanese MG69, which gets kind of expensive.
Then I happened upon a supposed 1966 Mustang at a decent price within the EU, that has been mutilated a bit.
So I'm giving that a go.
