Hello

Post by Dubtrub » Wed Dec 27, 2006 12:36 pm

I've been lurkin' about for a while but decided I should register. I see a lot of familiar name here from the 'other' board. Nothing really new for me. I still have the same two JM's, but recently acquired a 66 Mosrite Ventures model/ Mark 1, and  scratch built my own version of a Mosrite (which I'd like better).  I also recently built a Weber kit tweed Deluxe 5E3.

Welcome. Are you enjoying the Weber kit?

Absolutely! It was my first kit amp. Not only was it a learning experience but it is an outstanding sounding amp.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome!

Do you have any photos of the inside of your amp? It looks super nice. I've been tempted to buy a kit more than once, but I haven't had much time to take on an involved project.

Howdy Justin,

The amp is really an easy kit to assemble as long as you go slow and check everything against the diagram and schematic. I purchased a couple of Gerald Weber books and his DVD on amp repair which help a lot. Also, just for everyone's information, Gerald Weber is no relation to the Weber Amp kits.

Awesome! Thanks for posting those. It looks like you did a really nice job on the inside too. I'm definitely going to check out the Weber kits.
