Hey guys- I found this site through another guitar forum. I'm rediscovering my guitars after about 5 years off, starting a family, etc... I've played in everything from power-punk to prog. rock to surf instrumental. It's all coming back to me...
I currently have 2 electrics; a 93 Gibson SG Jr. and my 93 MIM Duo Sonic. I just got the Duo Sonic back from my tech, and it now plays and sounds great! I'm really surprised at how versatile the Duo is- This little thing really sings. It has a nice warm jazzy tone in the neck pickup and almost like a Tele spank/twang in the bridge. I'm not sure how useful the middle position is, it seems like it sucks all of the mids out...
I look forward to learning more about these cool Fender guitars. My last offset Fender was an early 90's Japanese Jazzmaster reissue in red. (I still have the pickguard from that guitar, signed by J. Mascis)
Does anyone know which pickups the MIM Duo Sonics used? I'll try to post a picture or two tomorrow.

Enough talk... on with some pictures of my beloved 3/4 scale screamer. I tried to include some detail, maybe it will help someone down the line.
I know it's never going to be worth a ton of dough, but it's a neat little guitar.

Lovely Duo, and it's interesting how the knobs age faster than the pup covers, this has started to happen to my CIJ JM as well. Different kinds of plastic most likely.

I'm sure the quality of parts has gone downhill since the 60's.
The more I look at my little Duo, the more it looks off-white. What is the official name of this shade?
And why does my SG Jr. still have more twang?
