Was just having a little play around on photoshop seeing what my jag would look like with a black guard...
-----
But earlier today I came across this rare thing (again) on the net...

Image

so added that to the equation to see how it may look applied...

What do you reckon ?? prob look better on a white guard or something I dunno...  ::)

anyone know of a jag with one applied ??

Do you think if I had these made, to sell....

1. Would there be an interest ?
2. Would Fender be unhappy about it if they every found out ?

I don't think many people were interested in them the first time around, and I can't see many being into them nowadays.

Plus, the idea of a "pick-guard" for your scratchplate is just ridiculous!!!!

Huh, I always wondered how that'd look applied to a guitar. I like it.

those remind me of those kids toys, where you'd have a board and these vinyl stickers that you could peel off and on the board to create different scenes...

i guess the same idea as paper dolls  :-[, but these would be cool, like spider-man, etc..  8)

:D

Those are  a cool footnote in the annals of offset guitar history, but at the end of the day...they're  akinda dumb idea.

Owen, I would buy those without hesitation if you decided to make them. I bought a new sunburst Jazzmaster in 1966 and bought the whole supply of those "Pick Guards" that the music store had. Looked way cool on the tortoiseshell pickguard and did protect it from scratches. I now have a Jaguar HH and have been looking for "Pick Guards" for years. Hope you decide to make them, let me know if you do. Thanks.
