Like it better than the Thurston. Makes the tort 'pop' more.

I love it!

The tort needs to be a bit redder, though. B&B would look great on this, as well.

The moonmaster looks cool. I'm a fan of transparent finishes, but then the purist in me maybe prefers to stick to the old Fender color charts.

Yes!
big fan of green guitars although my preference is sherwood green.
For years i thought that Elvis Costello's Jazzmaster was trans green until they made the signature re-issue.

The JM EC uses is the same instrument they based the re-issue on, he just had it refinished in antigua after acquiring it (antigua is kinda green... maybe that's why you thought it was green?).
So all the famous pics from the 70s are of the home done brown stain that it was finished in (and that the RI was based on) when he bought it second hand.

Elvis Costello talking about his guitar (in the background), and the RI based on it (which he is holding)

Exactly, but to me some of those old pictures looked like a dark green/brown colour. For instance I remember seeing an old live performance from the 70's of Watching the detectives where EC plays THE jazzmaster and it looks more like a dark green wood stain. - this is before it was changed to the antigua finish.
So all along the colour i thought i saw was only in my head
Somewhere between the ECJM and the TMJM is my perfect JM colour.

Cheers for the link by the way, it was his guitar that first got me interested in offset guitars.

Ah, okay... I get what you mean now.
A combination of old film/processing not representing colour well and maybe some weird lighting thrown in can drastically skew true colours.

I am lucky enough to own a TMJM, an ECJM and a Ventures JM (which is a black burst, where the lighter bits almost appear to be green).
If you could somehow combine all three of those finishes on one guitar it would be pretty sweet :)

the two in the middle are what i imagined the ECJM colour to be.
like a dirty or yellowed trans green.

Wudtone? Looks similar to this one:

Come to think of it, it doesn't only look similar, it looks the same? Has it been finished yet?

Building a, hmmm quarter-hollow jazzmaster w. f-hole and finishing it in wudtone´s emerald green, work in progress for the last 6 months and just noticed wudtone finishes says "use within 2-3 months", so it may never get finished, post some pics of it if/when i get it finished.

That pickguard looks great. Until then I was going for pearloid. If you are going down the non-traditional route though this is great because it is different.
