Hey! I'm looking around at Long & Mcquade and thinking of purchasing two guitars. One, A VM Squier Jazzmaster and the other, a VM Squier Mustang. Anyone own/used to own one? Need some opinions/suggestions. Should I get both? What do you think of the Squier name? Etc.. Shoot me some opinions!

I haven't tried the VM Mustang, but I love the VM Jazzmaster ... literally, it's the guitar that made me fall in love with Jazzmasters. I don't know how more experienced offset users feel about it, but I personally thought it sounded wonderful, and it played great. Generally, I find that Squiers do play really well, despite the negative connotation often associated with the name. Having played quite a few Squiers, I have to say that it seems like the build quality has improved in recent years, and for the price (especially with the Jazzmaster), they're really tough to beat.
