This is hopefully what I'll end up with. Im getting the wood and having a go at shaping the body myself so will probably have a few questions about painting and sealing when the time comes. Having read a few topics about relicing im not sure whether to leave it pristine and wear it naturally or just start it off a little bit to give it a helping hand...
The neck should be arriving soon, got some gold tuners already and keeping an eye out for a few other bits and pieces down the line.
What you reckon?
This is the idea...

Not my favorite colors but its also not my guitar! I'm not sure what your experience with building is but have you considered building it from parts instead of from scratch?

Its my first build but my brother is a treesurgeon who can get me plenty of wood for the body so im going to have a few practice bodies to get the shaping routing and drilling right then crack on once Im comfortable. Ive bought a ready made neck from t'internet because I think that would be beyond me but hopefully the rest should fall into place...Harrison wrote:Not my favorite colors but its also not my guitar! Dont worry about not liking the colourway, my mate thinks gold hardware makes it look like liberace's guitar so I know its not for everyone...

Not usually a fan of maple necks on jazzys but this one is beautiful, the tort, blonde, and gold all work together really well. Cant wait to see it finished
edit: whoa sorry to bring up such an old thread, I assume your avatar is the finished product
