So I was given this (free)
And I turned it into this
My first build / restore attempt. Not perfect, but I'm pretty proud of it. I have the bug now, I want to do more

Wow! Can you provide some extra details on the build and maybe some photos?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Jazzblaster refers to a JM with humbuckers?

it thought it was any modification that enhanced the sound of a stock jazzmaster? i may be wrong.
anyhow, its and old 2000's MIJ jazzmaster, refitted with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups. the paint job is a mettalic burgunday mist with and additional sparkle lacquer layer. I also changed the bridge to a Mustang one.

Niiice! Free guitar got turned into something even better!
The darkened headstock definitely fits better than a normal one. What is that decal?

Like it a lot but I always prefer white pickup covers with a black scratchplate

Jazzblaster (while being a made up designation) generally refers to a Jazzmaster with Widerange Humbuckers, it sometimes gets stretched to any humbuckers, but thats the traditional usage.
Either way its a cool project!

Very nice, but yes, a Jazzblaster is a JM with humbuckers, usually Wide Range ones.

How'd you get a jazzmaster body & neck for free?
