The Official OSG Coffee Table Book Thread!

So, I've been thinking for a while about how cool it would be to have an OSG coffee table book. With the sheer amount of information that could be amassed, I think we could truly make an excellent and drool-worthy book that would have a proud place on many a coffee table.

So many cool guitars that pass through here on a regular basis, many of them with drool worthy pics.
We could include vintage guitars, restorations, cool mods, before and after shots, histories, myths, inside jokes, and so on...

What say ye? I think we have the power to make something really classy.

The more the merrier. I think in order for this to actually happen, we'll need a team of collaborators from near and far. Anyone's interest and help in anyway is much appreciated. I'm a designer by trade and know a few others on here are too. We'll need writers, editors, photographers, designers, offsets, offsets and more offsets!!!

For now, lets start spitballin' ideas.

Good question. Any legal in the house?

I would wager to bet that since it's a user submitted publication and would be best as a non-profit venture that it shouldn't be breaking any laws in theory, but I don't really know. I'd imagine if the book is anything like the threads (which I think it should definitely reference in style and form), we shouldn't have any problem there. Else, Fender would have shut us down eons ago.

I'm on board as well. I have a good design and graphic eye, as well as editing and writing. I'm happy to help wherever I'm needed. :)

I like the idea of it being an OSG thing, but it really has potential to be something that could have a wider audience. With the vast amount of knowledge around here, we could really do some good, as far as halting some of the misinformation being spewed about these guitars. There could even be a section on setups...

I don't think I've ever set foot in this section before. Funny!

I saw the chat about the book & drifted in, wanting to show you these...

The OSG Calendar that never was (I can't believe it was originally touted for 2008. Where did those 6 years go?
It ended up being impossible to pick 12 images to use. There were so many amazing to choose from!!!

Here's the original thread.

Anyway, I'd love to lend a hand if any illustration or design work needed doing.

I still have a bunch of high-res OSG guitar photos people sent me kicking around in one of my HD's.
