So I've been thinking...

I think I'm heading this way after the mismatched headstock thread. Would have loved a Coronado neck but I've got a few B&B guitars and decided I might prefer D&B for a change:

i painted the PG on my Jag blue...and was also contemplating matching the headstock to the PG instead of the body... I think it'd be cool.
What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

Not too keen on the tort pickguard model, love the second blackguard one though.

Always liked the matching pickguard/headstock combo as per your second example FWIW.... :-*

If you can't get a black anodized guard, think about hitting it with a nice single ply black guard without the beveled edge.
Member SneakyT has a great, thicker bakelite material that looks a lot like ano - but isn't. He made a guard like that for my Bass VI and it was total win.

You know... or not. :D

I've been waiting for Anotone to finally release their JM guards. I had seen a charcoal frost danocaster with a tort guard that looked great, but y'all may be right about the black guard black headstock pairing.
