I inherited my son's older Mac Powerbook, and I figured I could use it for simple recording in my little guitar closet. I loaded the software for a Line 6 TonePort that I've had for several years and used for only one recording project, and this is what I get:
That's what pops up whenever the hardware is connected via usb. The software works fine on its own, but the instant you plug in the TonePort, this deathscreen (in this particular shot, just the gray box in the center) appears.
Any idea what that's about or how to fix/circumvent it? I don't want to spend $200 for another interface. I'm not that serious about home recording. I just want to get something running with which to grab ideas/demos.
