christ
I'm glad there are a lot of guitar players pursuing technique as diligently as they possibly can, it leaves this whole other area open to people like me.

Lovely! Our guitarist has one that looks identical, but it's a Columbus copy. Sounds great though!

Now I'm even more certain that a Hummingbird will definitely find it's way to my living room in... eh...10 years?

An old friend of mine has one. She paid 400 for it in the early 70's.
I think I'll call her and tell her how much her old guitar is admired here.

That's ok, I'll take the burst if no one wants it.

You'll have to fight me for it!! I saw it first!!!Haddock wrote: That's ok, I'll take the burst if no one wants it.
I wouldn't normally hijack these threads as pretty much all of Zhivago's Vintage Hotties have been, well, hot.
I had to make an exception here as this guitar ('65 I think) is my dream acoustic.
I was actually going off the bird & flowers design on the guard but this one has re-ignited the flames. It ticks all the boxes -
Nice subdued colours on the guard.
A burst that's almost completely faded.
Loads of nice laquer checking & dinks.
Dark back & sides.
Correct tuners.
Split block inlays.
Good, solid, period hardcase.
Hell, even the bridge pins are gorgeous.
I only wish there were a few more pictures of it. I found it on flickr. There are more 3 shots of the guard from slightly different angles (boring) & these.....
I can't look anymore as it hurts too much. One day this will be mine damn it!!!

With the headstock blurred, you might not even notice the difference
