How difficult is it to source claws and bolts for bass drums? it's missing them on one side and i have another old pearl bass brum sitting in my basement, they look extremely similar which makes me feel hopeful but i don't want to pull the trigger and be sitting on a set i can't use for years.
the set is a faded gold sparkle and comes with all kinds of beater vintage cymbals etc.

anyone with experience on this with insight would be gratefully appreciated

I put together an old MIJ 60's Coronet (Pearl) kit for dirt cheap,

the easiest way I found to get parts for these is keep your eyes peeled for someone selling a similar bass drum for cheap and strip the hoops/hardware from it.

yeah i have already scoured the web for parts i would need and it does seem like i can source them at least partially(eventually)

i guess it makes sense to just nab it for $100 and then work my way towards a complete / og set
it comes with a shitpile of old cymbals also

seems like the parts i am missing are common enough, should be a good pick up. plus i like the orange-y sparkle

The kit is a Pearl stencil. If the front head is original to the kit was sold through Sears. The lugs may actually say PEARL on the inside of them.

ask the youtuber rdavidr. he's always selling old and rare drum stuff and even uses an old stencil kit in some of his videos. he usually responds to PM's on instagram.

Marc’s right, Japanese stencil kit. Likely Pearl but could also be Star (pre-Tama). Google Japanese stencil drums. There has been a rise in the knowledge and cataloguing of these drums in the last 15 years.
