Tama Bubinga. Used a similar set in a studio and just had to have my own. Bar none the best I've ever played. Various Zildjian K, K custom, and A custom cymbals.

^That's a great looking wrap. I wouldnt mind a guitar in that color, perhaps even wrapped...

Wow, those are fancy cymbals! That thrash crash stack looks amazing! The sand ride is the Benny Greb one right? I've been looking at those when they came out, but since then I've found that I have the most fun with taking the ugliest sounding, cracked to hell cymbals, and getting unusual sounds out of them..Altar wrote:A pic of my current setup. Catalina Jazz club, slightly modified. Left to right, 20" Byzance jazz extra thin ride, 20" Byzance sand ride, 16" Byzance trash crash over 18" dark crash, and 20" jazz club ride.

I am getting my basement redone so I had to tear down the old Rogers kit and pack it up for the next few weeks.

If you think my singing is bad, you should hear me play guitar.

Are you crazy? That's all you need right there. Whenever I've played gigs with the current bunch of guys are typically play with, I always bring just what you've got right there. It's waaaay more fun playing/lugging that kind of kit than a big bulky kit or even a regular jazz/4 piece set up.DotDash wrote:My old set. Or half a set, haha. My drummer uses one more piece than that (a floor tom) and gets along just fine, more creatively than I do with a full four piece kit and several cymbals.StevenO wrote:Are you crazy? Mid 60s Slingerland kit with a 20" kick drum. A great-sounding kit for recording. I have the original Slingerland snare but it's messed up, so I'm using a mid-70s Ludwig Acrolite a friend sold me for $20 in 1999. 13" rack tom in a basket; 16" floor tom, vintage Zildjian hats and crash. And wrap it all up with this $20 cracked ride, which suits my playing a lot better than the rest of the kit...
