Gibson 60's Tribute SG (retail value about 799.00---though I didn't pay retail)

well - If you are trading an extra for something new - why not?

But I have no experience with either of those options.

YEs the Gibson SG is new....(bought it a month ago on a super close out deal online) but I HAVE 2 Epiphone Custom Shop Sg's a 61 (with p90s) and a 62 (with 57 PAFS.) so the actual Gibson is rather redundant (and out classed)

So yes trading an extra or 3rd wheel if you will for something a bit more "exotic"

Made the trade and FRIGGIN THRILLED.
The VOX VIRAGE is so much better than a base line SG. Night and day.....like a real instrument and a childs toy difference.
