New Lyle 1802T
Just won this little guy on Ebay, for 200 bucks!
these are lovely guitars and have a great unique sound that's great for surf. Now it will join my other two. (One's an Epiphone Et-270) And they will be joined by another in July
(my sunburst one)
(and my Epiphone)
Ive never paid over 250 dollars for one

Sell me one! Dam you!
We have wasted History like a bunch of drunks shooting dice back in the men's crapper of the local bar.

Re: New Lyle 1802T
I used to have a SB version branded "Diamond". Exact same guitar. Sounds pretty, but had a bit of fat neck (from what I recall)
I think they originated from the "matsomuko" plant or something. Very solid guitar.
I think formite "pacafeliz" owns one or two of these as well. I think a 1802 and 1803 model. (not sure how they are branded)

Re: New Lyle 1802T
i had 2 up until recently, i shouldnt have sold them they are great guitars and i love the trem setup.
one was an old aria branded one that was really really heavy, that wasnt in the best nick, and the other one wasent branded but it had 2 holes in the headstock from a logo.
could have possibly been branded tempo, i think i have seen one with that brand before, it was also not as heavy and had a different sunburst.
id love to get another one at some point.

LennonTv: HA! no way man! Although, I'll be in australia in a couple of years hopefully, so maybe you can take a flight and play one.
IPLAYLOUD: Univox? Awesome, I've never seen one of those (at least for this model)
ohm-men: Yeah, theyre really solid. The necks aren't too bad at least for me. After playing a mosrite for a month, they took a while to get used to though. 1802s are the ones I have with two pickups. 1803s have the 3 pickup design, I've never seen one for sale. And yeah, theyre from the Matsumoku plant.
jagstang97: Hmmm, i've never played an aria, but mine aren't terribly heavy. What colour were they? The only ones I've seen with punched in logos tend to be the lyles. Im probably wrong though.

And if I'm not in a band, don't mean I'm square...and if I am, well then I don't care..
