First coat added. THANKS to SKULLSERVANT and Fenderguy for recommending True Oil! This stuff is cheap and super easy to work with :) Some sanding and a couple of coats will follow over the next few days... hope to be ready with the guitar in a week or so.

Oh, and never underestimate empty toilet paper rolls

I love my true oil bottle (that sentence sounds sick...!!!)
Does a fantastic job for necks.
Looking forward to your next post.

Body is basically done. I did sand it yesterday to get rid of some of the gloss, maybe sanding it again later...just a bit.
Finished the wiring yesterday, all fine. Went with 1 Meg volume and a 250K tone pot .... still need to experiment a bit with the tone capacitor value.
The Pickguard also needs a bit of sanding in the area where it meets the trem and control plates :squint:

now 100% done, added some white vintage slider switches that I bought from 2fLAz and decided on the capacitor. I like it so far :)

Looks really, really good - I'd forgotten how good white switches can look.

Perfect.

Very cool guitar. Love the finish. Reminds me of my '72 Gibson ES 325 colour. The white sliders are very cool too.
What kind of vibrato arm is that?

Thanks all! I really enjoy playing this guitar. I actually played it every day for at least an hour since I finished it
The great part is that's it's already broken in (guess mainly because of the neck but the body also had enough time to 'settle' and dry out). It was an easy and fun project.

agree, the white slider do look really cool on this guitar (in combination with all the other white plastics).
The arm is a Staytrem Mustang replacement (improvement) Arm. I really like it, such an improvement over the Mustang stock arms (at least for players who actually use the Mustang trem. I do!! :freako: ). The trem unit I had was without the arm so I decided to get the Staytrem one and I have not regretted it!
