This was a fixer upper Mustang i picked up that needed some work to make it playable...
The bridge it came with was all kinds of fucked. I replaced it today, and in doing so, i also realized i had over-tightened the truss rod by about a full turn to compensate
The frets needed a fret level badly.
The body had some ugly scratches in the back too. Enlarge the image below to see them...
And last but not least, the headstock had overspray from the Fender decal someone stupidly applied.
So, i leveled the frets, put some shims on the neck, dialed back the trussrod quite a bit and buffed the scratches out and orange peel with a heavy cut compound and an orbital polisher.
Here are the results. The scratches have almost disappeared. I think the back looks much better.
The overspray is gone. Buffed out. I kinda want to get a 'copy' decal in a tele style font and add it there .. Yes a decal that says the word 'copy'
The new 52mm spaced bridge allows for great action, and playability.
I got some alnico pickups coming for it too.
Oh and I also realigned the tuners, still not perfect because they are slightly different than the originals but they look much better now I think think.
Here are some pics from today.

Oh yeah, that'd be awesome. Just the copy portion would be cool.
