It’s a 1978 Telecaster Deluxe with WRHBs. Sunburst. Black guard.

Well, close enough I guess. It’s a 75

Shipping from the other side of the country so might take a minute but I’ll post my thoughts once it gets here. Has some yellowing but the frets are full and allegedly it’s a beautiful player.

Love a Tele deluxe!

How does one fit a Strat trem on one of those though?
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

That’s very cool. I was thinking this morning that a Tele might be perfect were it not for the lack of a trem!

Nice! The vibrato versions are rare as hen’s teeth.

Lee Ranaldo has one, and they were recently reissued for a short time, but MIM I believe.

That's a killer find/guitar.

Yea, Lee talking highly of the WRHBs in his Tele was the first time I heard of said pickup.

There’s an LPB one w/ rosewood board on reverb right now that’s MIJ. Listed for like $1500 or so

Got this today and it’s really doing it for me. I miss my Starcaster but this scratches that itch for me pretty well. It’s in pretty good shape - couple little dings, tad bit of yellowing, etc. but the frets are pretty much full and it’s a great player. Can’t wait to really put it thru its paces in the next couple days.

My only complaint is the trem arm being bent in a super obnoxious way where you can’t screw it in a single turn without having to lift it up over the knobs and when fully set up is like || far away from the strings. Wtf? No idea how anybody made that work but hopefully I can figure out a non-vice-owning way of fixing it
