Re: "Why did you do it? Why did you do this thing to me?"
I know!
That mockup was a quick Photoshop job using a picture of a 63' Jazzmaster taken from a slightly different angle so the proportions may not be exact. I lined up the furthest pickguard screw by the rhythm circuit with the tailpiece.
Even so, if I drop the original body back in you can see just how much wood is gone...

So basically for reshaping you would need a frame in the shape of a Jazzmaster and "frame" the original parts. Interesting...

I'm not convinced the scale is correct in that comparison. The fucked body is too small in relation to the white body, so most likely the wood from the neck pocket to the jack-area of the pickguard is untouched.

1) buy an old Fender "body guard"
2) put this Jazzmaster un it
3) fill it up with some shit

You're probably right.
Like I say, it was a relatively quick mockup to illustrate how much wood was gone. Not that you need a diagram (I have too much time on my hands). It's pretty fucking obvious!

Should be pretty cool to cast it in resin to fill in the voids actually..!

...that would be pretty heavy, but it would be nice to see a bunch of worn-out picks and busted guitar parts floating in lucite.

Well, they didn’t butcher a vintage Mustang body so that’s something...
