Almost a Seafoam in that light. Beauty. The wet sand is the secret to any finish.

I am happy!!! I bought a Jazzmaster from 1963 in pieces. It was an ebay auction in Germany. I live also in Germany.
I hope the link below works!?
Those parts have been in a basement for about 35 years now. Someone wanted to "customize" the Jazzy?
So, frets are needed for the neck, the headstock is minimalized. The body is handpainted with a kind of dakota red.
All pieces are with the guitar. So I paid 1023€ for it. Good price. I guess I have to spend about 600€ into the restauration, so I have a ´63 Jazzy for a good price! I am waiting for the neck w. new frets these days.
The body: What do you think was it before? A sunburst one?
The pickguard is a bit shrunken, looks gorgeous!
What do you think about the electronics??? Should I use the original one complete? Or better complete new cables / potis?
Body: Refinish? What color? I am no sunburst fan. Nitro finish? I think about some kind of yellow/white w. matching head.
People out there? Is there anyone with experiences with such a parts Jazzy?
Thanks, cheers!!

Btw, was this you? If it was, will the guitar have to meet this ultimate challenge?
