I've once seen a similar one for sale in a store in Stockholm. Sherwood Green, a players guitar but not too abused and with golden hardware (totally not my thing). Price tag was around 4k USD if I remember well, that was "only" a decade ago ... :o

Do you remember which store it was? Makes me wonder if it's still here in Sweden. Imagine what a sherwood green jag with gold hardware would go for today, must be one of a kind.

just mail me the names of the "common" vintage stores and I see if I can remember. I visited 4-5 stores there. If I remember well, that store also offered "Rockstar haircuts" ("Keef Style") - (don't know if that was a joke or not) ...and it was very small

The ones I can think of off the top of my head are Halkan's, Hellstone music and Tip Top. I'm not sure if there are any others that specialise in vintage gear. Any of those sound familiar?

It wasn't Halkan's and it wasn't Hellstone (both are great stores, I remember them clearly), it was a really small one that some private wordpress style private blog has recommended, that's all I remember. I couldn't find that blog again. I think the blog said the store was co-owned by some famous swedish musician. That's all I remember. They had no more than 30 guitars there, maybe even less. But all somehow really special.

Beautiful but that price is ridik - rarer colors go for half as much in that condition!

The price is about $12,620 in USD. Sherwood is extremely rare in Jags, and it's located in Europe, so I don't think the price is unreasonable. It is quite a stunning guitar in excellent shape for its age.

I like this video from George Gruhn from about 6 years ago, talking about a surf green 64 jag and why it sells for about $11,000:

reminds me of elka zolot from the trashwomen's jaguar.

i think for a custom colour jaguar in decent condition, it's a good price.

If it sells for the asking price it's probably destined to spend the rest of its life in a display cabinet.

If nothing else it has the distinction of being the only sherwood green guitar to look anything like sherwood green in a photograph.

I have yet to see a pickguard that looks right on sherwood, they always look out of place no matter the color or material to my eye.
Logic gates based on billiard-ball computer designs have also been made to operate using live soldier crabs of the species Mictyris guinotae in place of the billiard balls.

Sounds like a really cool shop. Unfortunately I don't think I've ever been to that one. Maybe I'll find it some day.

I know what you mean, this is the only one I've seen that actually looks like the AVRI sherwood. I guess it's pretty faded considering other examples seem to be closer to OTM. Or maybe it's just the lighting.

I think a mint guard looks pretty great with sherwood green!

It seems to me the asking price for these rare custom colors are usually somewhere around 10k, I realise that they might not sell for the original asking price but still. If I recall correctly you have a quite impressive collection of custom colored guitars, if you don't mind me asking, wouldn't your shoreline JM (64 is it?) be worth about the same?
