It's spotless on the top with just a few impressions. I'm sure there is an absolutely mint one out there but Satan has probably got it in his personal collection!

I also agree that pre-binding 65s tend to be special. Pre-CBS gets all the hype, but they were doing something right in 65.

That is one bad a$$ looking 65 Jag. I already have two Jags but I was still tempted by a non-vintage black one with a matching headstock that showed up on CL a few weeks ago. Dual chrome covered HBs and a black 3 ply pickguard. It just yelled Darth Vader at me.

Pre-CBS all the way! Very early '65, dots, unbound and no F plate
I quite like the late '65 and '66 models too actually and a full B&B model would be nice too.
