I've owned quite a few vintage mustangs, but this one is special. Gorgeous woody tone.

Such a beaut! Of the original Mustang color combos, this is by far my favorite. Something about faded white and tort just gets me going,

Happy NGD! She looks a lot like my cherished 66.
Oly White + Tort = eh.
Yellowed AF oly white + Tort = :?

Hope you'll enjoy it for a very long time.

The tort on it is really subtle and beautiful, hard to capture in photos. they just don't make em like they used to in that respect.

Thats really cool. Talk about patina. Somebody played and loved that Mustang. And yes, most modern tort is poor compared to this (Spitfire excluded, of course).

Nice choice. Ain’t free will grand? Had a ‘66 in the same color back in the early 90’s. Btw, how goes your fiesta Jag search?

Jags are so overpriced right now. I blame the Johnny Marr model. Suddenly everyone wants one. I've decided unless I find a crazy deal, I'm not buying any vintage Jags right now. Having said that, I just bought that 64' jag off the BST. What can I say...I have a problem.

Nice! I had a Duo Sonic II from '65 that was almost identical to your mustang in terms of looks. It was a superb guitar ... one of the nicest Fenders I've ever played, though I didn't appreciate it at the time. I still miss that Duo Sonic...

Aaaaaahhhhh! Your white one is too cool!!!!

If someone has got a similar one and is willing to sell/change, please let me know.

I love the look of Mustangs. I play mainly Jags and Jazzys, but Mustangs are always supernice to my eyes!
I have got two Mustangs, but from the 90`s.

Years ago I also had a nice old 65 Mustang. The finish was stripped down, but on a few points you could see the old white finish...
Years ago I was used to play nearly every guitar with 13-56 strings in regular tuning. (So, for surf music it is common to play thick strings...)
:fp: So, the Mustang was of course overstrained with my requirements...
It had a nice thick sound I remember... But it was unplayable for me at this time and so I sold it unfortunately...

That's a great-looking, well-loved Mustang. I do love the white ones, maybe because I've only owned red and blue, and the grass is always greener :D

'64-'65 Mustangs are one of the last bastions of affordable vintage Fenders. They have everything you could want - nitro, the same build quality, and essentially have flat-pole '64-'65 Strat pickups, which are revered pretty much across the board. I actually like the tone of those flat poles better than the traditional Strat stagger, so much so that I put a set of pre-CBS Musicmaster/Duosonic/Mustang pickups in my one Strat that I own.
