Re: advice on 64/65 CAR Jaguar
I would think that seems high for a late ‘65. Though I am in the USA, I gave about $4000usd for my Candy Apple Red ‘64 which is all original. That was about two years ago.

what dingus put a buzzstop on there?
honestly, i seen a worse condition CAR red 64 go for £2500 last year. i think their going by reverb prices. i think realistic price would be around £2800-£3200

Yeah the buzzstop puzzled me too . People are strange.
I thought 4.5k seemed pretty high, I'll swerve this one then. Not sure they will budge on price.
Lovely checking/wear on it though, nice to see the gold undercoat coming through.

Its a nice looking guitar
It's missing the Pat No's off the headstock decal
The ill fitting upper control plate is odd, would need a closer look.
How does it play and sound ?

The back of the neck had really lovely wear on it, greyed out towards the top like you would imagine. It definitely matched the patina of the rest of the guitar.
Sadly didn't get chance to plug in as I was in a rush. I just saw it in the window and popped in.
I can go back and get more pics.
If anyone is in London UK and wants to see it give me a DM and I'm happy to share but maybe its price prohibitive anyhow as I'm not sure he'll budge.
I'm a lefty so I was looking to get it to possibly trade up for a vintage lefty if one came along.

that kinda explains it all. a lot of the london guitar shops tend to over inflate the price. saying that, im sure one of the london osg guys can go negotiate it down. zhivago maybe?timbo86 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 3:01 pmThe back of the neck had really lovely wear on it, greyed out towards the top like you would imagine. The shop in question is an interesting one, bit of a second hand style junk shop but they have a bunch of guitars, synths etc. Every now and then they get a vintage guitar in.
Appreciate all the advice from you guys, think I'll steer clear of this one unless I can get £2k off it
