Custom Fuzz Finish Jazzmaster 63/69
Anybody have any info on this crazy factory finish test unit? Assembled by Fender 1969 full fuzz finish and pickguard finish, all electrics orig save one pot. I’ve heard of a Mustang and a P Bass exist as well.

Is this like the kind of fuzz that's on a Foxx Tone Machine casing?

What are the odds that one will appear on eBay or Reverb soon?

Yep, can't wait to hear about this super rare prototype (with no provenance whatsoever).

I'm trying not to be cynical here, after already showing interest. But....then I looked back at the original post again....
• Anybody have any info on this crazy factory finish test unit? - He then answers his own question, kind of in the form of an add...
• Assembled by Fender 1969
• Full fuzz finish and pickguard finish (whatever that means)
• All electrics orig save one pot.
I'm starting to get a faint whiff of bullshit.

The different pot is actually all original(tm) too, because one-of-a-kind prototype.PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 1:29 amI'm trying not to be cynical here, after already showing interest. But....then I looked back at the original post again....

They actually used Leo's own New Old Stock pubic hair for the finish.

Alright so you guys never heard of the famous "full fuzz finish" and still think you know vintage Fender guitars?

I think you are probably referring to the fuzz-blaster from the summer of 68'? Its well documented that from August till mid-september of 1968 Leo and Fullerton went on a rampage deviant behaviour that led to a couple of odd finishes.
I have the strat model seen below, I think John Frusciante has the Jazzmaster model:
